Kennedy Town’s Shoreditch, Urban Eatery and Battlecruiser brings a taste of London’s trendy east end eateries and culture to an area of Hong Kong that in the last couple of years has started to establish itself as a more relaxed alternative to the hustle and bustle of Soho and its surrounding areas.

Our food has strong links back to Britain whether directly by offering a traditional British dish or indirectly by taking British ingredients to create a more modern flavour suited to Asian tastes. The menu is regularly updated with new offerings. The drinks are also, in the main, uniquely British with offerings of Craft Beers, some interesting British wines within its wine list and British distilled Spirits allowing for some very interesting modern British cocktails.

Located at the 1st floor of a brand new building in Central with an open view to the plaza, Frites brings the same authentic dining experience to the diners in the area. Frites pays homage to authentic Belgian style with beers being poured in the age-old traditional way. Opened since 1998 in Hong Kong as the brain-child of veteran restaurateur, Mr. Carmelo Lopez. A native Spanish himself, he came to Asia in the 70’s but was still nostalgically attached to the richness and exquisite taste of the cuisine of his motherland. Ole was created from this crave for authenticity! Just experience the genuine touch of Spain the moment you step inside the restaurant: the lemon yellow plastered walls and glazed terracotta tiles of the Mediterranean, the lighting fixture and the decorative potteries directly flown from Spain. The décor encompasses a modern and stylish design. On the left hand side of the entrance is an open-air seating area with several sets of high tables and black leather stools separated by large glass doors which create an intimate place for conversation and people-watching. The floor, a combination of marble and dark wood coupled with the reflective mirrors on the earthy brick wall and cozy leather black couches, creates a contemporary and trendy ambience. The Drunken Pot has ‘fishing market’ ambience with traditional carved wooden door, dangling lights, rustic walls, a bar designed like an old market vendor with aged wood, and colourful hand-painted signs and graffiti telling old fishing tales. Amid the timeless look is a gigantic ‘street art’ mural by Hong Kong urban contemporary artist Ben Pickering representing the vibrant, cosmopolitan scene in Hong Kong, with a traditional Japanese ‘Goddess of the Sea’ sharing local produce.
