Alfa (Alphard) is developed by Toyota's luxury MPV, using the chassis to improve the Previa. Shoku uses binchotan, an extremely pure, high-carbon charcoal made from oak because its high density allows it to burn with very little smoke at a steady high heat over long periods so that it locks in the juices of seafood and meats and enhances the natural flavours of the food.
