AIRLINE-STYLE RECLINING SEATS Optional airline-style reclining seats give travellers in the rear the chance to relax as they might on a private jet. And the connection with flying is not one made lightly. This is the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase: the ultimate combination of speed and exquisite luxury. PANORAMIC REAR SUNROOF A tilting glass sunroof invites a cascade of daylight into the rear of the car, while an electric Alcantara blind can eliminate the glare of the sun at the touch of a button. NEW EXTERIOR DESIGN The Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase includes a number of changes to the front and the rear of the car, some of which can also be seen on the new Mulsanne and new Mulsanne Speed. The grilles, brightware, headlamp clusters and rear lamps have all been revised to give the exterior of the car a sharper, more contemporary appearance. WIDER, REDESIGNED FACE The new, wider radiator grille sits in front of the Bentley matrix, with stainless steel vertical vanes fanning out from the centre. The lower grilles have been widened in line with the front bumper, increasing the car’s road presence. NEW HEADLAMP TECHNOLOGY The design of the headlamp cluster is retained, however the outboard secondary lamps have been moved upwards to align them with the main lamps. The washers sit in the centre. The lamps themselves can operate automatically, with four light modes to cover different driving requirements: urban roads, country lanes, motorways and normal main beam. STRIKING BENTLEY FLYING ‘B’ REAR LAMPS New rear lamps glow with the three-dimensional form of a Flying ‘B’ when operated, making it clear from practically any distance that the car up ahead is a Bentley. LILY & BLOOM draw their inspiration from the physical streetscapes and downtown street life that emerged in great cities near the turn of the 20th century. Beginning in Paris and migrating to London, New York, San Francisco, and Shanghai, the years of 1890-1930 marked the beginning of not just the modern city, but the way we now eat and drink. Street vendors, cafes, people watching, restaurants, classic cocktails, chefs and cookbooks - all came to the forefront at this time. Most importantly, the life force of all this - the central urban market - was born.
From the intricate architecture of the brick tenements, to the raw energy of immigrant city life and the places such vendors/hawkers/restaurant owners drank and ate, LILY & BLOOM’s interiors hint at both the urban grits and the creative headiness of the early 1900’s. Together with the ingredient-driven food and drink, the concept celebrates the life that markets, food, and those who produce it have given us literally and figuratively. BUZZ CONCEPTS, by partnering with AvroKO, aim to pay tribute to this era in their new duplex space at LILY & BLOOM.
