OVERVIEW The new, more agile Flying Spur V8 S has luxury and performance at its heart. It brings an enhanced sporting edge to the already dynamically agile Flying Spur range. BUILT TO PERFORM We focused on three key areas when we created the sporting Flying Spur V8 S: the look, the engine and the drivability. We concentrated on refining the car’s look to give it a more aggressive edge. We spent time working on fine-tuning the formidable 4.0 litre V8 S twin-turbocharged engine to produce an improved torque level of 680 Nm for improved acceleration, even at low revs. It propels the car to a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h) effortlessly. We’ve also specially calibrated the suspension for increased responsiveness. And, of course, this exhilarating performance is matched by equally innovative, state-of-the-art fuel efficiencies. These enhancements also combine with one of the world’s finest all-wheel drive systems to deliver excellent traction and control. Beneath the bonnet of the Continental GT V8 S Convertible beats a monstrous heart: a 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine generating 680 Newton metres (502 lb.ft) of torque. Despite its muscular powerplant, the Continental GT V8 S Convertible is remarkably efficient with CO2 emissions at a mere 258 g/km, due in no small part to the use of variable displacement. But this supercar performance doesn’t mean a compromise on comfort. Thanks to the four layer construction of its retractable roof, the GT Convertible accommodates up to four people with the hood up in the same unflustered refinement as its hard-topped sibling.
