BUILT TO PERFORM
We focused on three key areas when we created the sporting Flying Spur V8 S: the look, the engine and the drivability. We concentrated on refining the car’s look to give it a more aggressive edge. We spent time working on fine-tuning the formidable 4.0 litre V8 S twin-turbocharged engine to produce an improved torque level of 680 Nm for improved acceleration, even at low revs. It propels the car to a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h) effortlessly. We’ve also specially calibrated the suspension for increased responsiveness. And, of course, this exhilarating performance is matched by equally innovative, state-of-the-art fuel efficiencies.
These enhancements also combine with one of the world’s finest all-wheel drive systems to deliver excellent traction and control. Together, these features make the Flying Spur V8 S a supremely rewarding drive. The Flying Spur V8 S with Mulliner Driving Specification continues the long tradition of personalisation associated with the Mulliner name. Designed at Crewe, Mulliner brings additional options for both exterior and interior. These include 21" 7 twin-spoke alloy wheels and door panels with perforated hide. The luxurious diamond-quilted seats now feature smaller quilting for a more contemporary design look. Our love of ‘all things burger related’ inspired us to spend years researching what makes the perfect hamburger-meat-to-bun ratios, patty recipes, grind coarseness, Maillard reactions, and cheese meltability to name but a few. Our name originates in 18th century Britain where the leading members of London society gathered in beefsteak clubs to partake of great food, fine booze and entertaining company. The brilliantly named Sublime Society of Beefsteaks was the most famous of all the clubs and its motto was “Let beef and liberty be my reward”. We loved the line so much we took it as our name.
