Since its inception in 2008, Ta Pantry has thrilled guests with a series of creative, cuisine-driven menus showcasing chef Esther Sham’s signature cooking style. The private kitchen’s new address opened in 2015 is a homecoming of sorts for chef Sham, who is thrilled to return to the Star Street neighborhood. Ta Pantry can accommodate up to twenty guests in its intimate 600 sq ft space.
A contemporary take on speakeasies, “I Know John” is a sophisticated, private lounge serving specialty mixologist-created cocktails and a carefully curated menu offering niche wines and whiskeys. Overlooking the famed Wellington Street, the refined, modern-rustic venue holds a 16-foot-long bar built with dark timber wood and illuminated oak blocks, and custom-made leather seats and couches. The cozy outdoor balcony serves as a perfect nook for intimate conversations.

Apart from its signature ramen selection, the Whampoa-exclusive menu includes self-service salad & beverage bars, kids’ meals and more. In addition to Japanese fare, Daimon Family Cafe introduces western snacks and Korean delights, bringing some of the foodies’ favourite to the menu.
