Inspired by the crazy nightlife and ferocious drinking culture of Japan, AMAZAKE is an izakaya and Japanese specialty bar combining the best of drinking's past, present and future. We wanted to pay homage to one of Japan's most beloved icons – the sumo wrestler - and re-imagined an izakaya and bar that would be ideal for these cherubic champions to play, relax and drink after a long hard day of wrestling on the mat.

"AMAZAKE" is named after the traditional Japanese drink made from fermented rice. The drink is normally sweet and popular to use in many Japanese food and drink recipes. It's even been considered as a homegrown hangover cure – perfect to chug down after a night out at our izakaya bar.

Lively, but not too fast. Taken from the language of music, this is what the name Allegretto represents. An inspiration to fill the day with vitality and take time to enjoy a world of espresso with more than 130 years of expertise. Allegretto was brought to Hong Kong with passion for elegant coffee.
