Dating back to 1888, The Pawn is housed in one of Hong Kong’s most historical buildings. What was once the famous Woo Cheong pawn shop became The Pawn in 2008 and re-opened in collaboration with British celebrity chef Tom Aikens after an extensive refurbishment. Featuring modern British cuisine on the second floor ‘Kitchen’ and handcrafted cocktails and artisanal spirits on the first floor ‘Botanicals’ bar.
With a permanent art collection curated by well-known Hong Kong artist ‘anothermountainman’ (Stanley Wong) featuring some of Hong Kong’s top contemporary artists, The Pawn has become more than just a dining space. It is a communal social venue for an eclectic mix of groups and sub-cultures, celebrating retro-futurism, arts & design, through casual-chic, al fresco and relaxed dining.
The Den is the secret hideaway of Mr & Mrs Fox which has its own exclusive entrance up the stairs, past our custom made dry-aging cabinet or via the elevators. It can comfortably seat 24 people for a meal or special gathering. The tables can be easily removed for a ‘standup’ party for up to 70 people. The Den has its own private balcony overlooking Tong Chong Street, it is equipped with built-in audio-visual facilities (projector with pull down screen, 65-inch TV and wireless microphone) making it suitable for a wide range of events such as private parties, meetings or corporate events.

BREAD STREET KITCHEN & BAR presents a British European menu, featuring dishes from its London counterpart, using specially imported artisanal products with local influences and the very best ingredients from Australasia. The red sofas and dark green high stools, together with the open wine rack behind the bar, create the perfect place for winding down. The intimate dining room is furnished with dark-wooden furniture, where old pictures ofJimmy's Kitchen and Hong Kong, as well as daily life in old-time Britain, adorn the walls. The semi-private room at the back of the restaurant is separated by a foldable door and an individual entrance.
