OVERVIEW The Continental GT V8 S’s new front bumper incorporates an inverted aerofoil-like design, instantly evoking the passion and drama of the racetrack, while a new and innovative lip-style spoiler adorns the rear, providing greater bite in every turn. To herald these changes, a dynamic and newly designed Bentley ‘B’ fender vent is located behind each front wheel. Inside, a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel with paddle-shift gear selectors creates a more intense handling experience. While, the flowing lines of straight-flute upholstery tightly wrap the seats, conveying purposeful movement, even when the car is still. And beneath the bonnet of the new Continental GT V8 S beats a monstrous heart: a 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine, with the power to generate 520 bhp (389 kW / 528 PS @ 6,000 rpm). At 1,700 RPM the GT V8 S generates 680 Nm of torque – even more than the 660 Nm achieved by its sibling, the GT V8. Guests are encouraged to choose from the selection of fresh seafood such as whole scallops, Kinki fish, surf clams, abalone, conch and much more from the display around the grill which is flown in daily from the best suppliers in Japan and then cooked on the grill in front of the diners.
Shoku uses binchotan, an extremely pure, high-carbon charcoal made from oak because its high density allows it to burn with very little smoke at a steady high heat over long periods so that it locks in the juices of seafood and meats and enhances the natural flavours of the food.
