While, the flowing lines of straight-flute upholstery tightly wrap the seats, conveying purposeful movement, even when the car is still. And beneath the bonnet of the new Continental GT V8 S beats a monstrous heart: a 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine, with the power to generate 520 bhp (389 kW / 528 PS @ 6,000 rpm). At 1,700 RPM the GT V8 S generates 680 Nm of torque – even more than the 660 Nm achieved by its sibling, the GT V8. Our name originates in 18th century Britain where the leading members of London society gathered in beefsteak clubs to partake of great food, fine booze and entertaining company. The brilliantly named Sublime Society of Beefsteaks was the most famous of all the clubs and its motto was “Let beef and liberty be my reward”. We loved the line so much we took it as our name.
