BUILT TO PERFORM We focused on three key areas when we created the sporting Flying Spur V8 S: the look, the engine and the drivability. We concentrated on refining the car’s look to give it a more aggressive edge. We spent time working on fine-tuning the formidable 4.0 litre V8 S twin-turbocharged engine to produce an improved torque level of 680 Nm for improved acceleration, even at low revs. It propels the car to a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h) effortlessly. We’ve also specially calibrated the suspension for increased responsiveness. And, of course, this exhilarating performance is matched by equally innovative, state-of-the-art fuel efficiencies. These enhancements also combine with one of the world’s finest all-wheel drive systems to deliver excellent traction and control. OVERVIEW The Continental GT V8 S’s new front bumper incorporates an inverted aerofoil-like design, instantly evoking the passion and drama of the racetrack, while a new and innovative lip-style spoiler adorns the rear, providing greater bite in every turn. To herald these changes, a dynamic and newly designed Bentley ‘B’ fender vent is located behind each front wheel. Inside, a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel with paddle-shift gear selectors creates a more intense handling experience. While, the flowing lines of straight-flute upholstery tightly wrap the seats, conveying purposeful movement, even when the car is still. And beneath the bonnet of the new Continental GT V8 S beats a monstrous heart: a 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine, with the power to generate 520 bhp (389 kW / 528 PS @ 6,000 rpm). At 1,700 RPM the GT V8 S generates 680 Nm of torque – even more than the 660 Nm achieved by its sibling, the GT V8. From a standing start the GT V8 S will reach 60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds, before climbing all the way to its top speed of 192 mph (309 km/h).
